- You need 1 1/2 kg of Chicken bone.
- It’s 1 1/2 tbsp of Salt.
- Take 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- It’s 3 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- You need 2 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Cumin powder roasted.
- Take 1 tsp of Coriander powder roasted.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- Take 15 of Almonds.
- Take 12 of Cashew nuts.
- Make ready 1/4 tsp of Charoli seeds.
- Prepare 3-4 of Green Chillies slit.
- It’s 3 of Cardamom pods.
- You need 1 inch of Cinnamon stick.
- It’s 5-6 of Cloves.
- It’s 1 tsp of Caraway seeds.
- You need of for the thick gravy.
- Make ready 1/2 cup of Tomato puree.
- Take 3 of Onions thinly sliced and fried.
- Take As needed of Oil.
- You need 200 gm of Yoghurt.
- You need 3 pinch of Red food colour.
- Take 1/2 cup of Coriander and Mint leaves finely chopped.
- You need 1 cup of Spring Onions finely chopped.
Dum Ka Murgh recipe or Hyderabadi Lagan Ka Murgh is a famous Hyderabadi nawabi dish prepared in every Hyderabadi kitchen.This dish is prepared with different nutty ingredients which are blended into a paste and dum cooked.Dum cooking is very slow cooking with the lid covered and not letting.Hyderabadi Murgh ka Salan is the Hyderabad version of Murgh ka Salan.

- First of all, make a smooth paste of Charoli seeds, Almonds, Cashewnuts and Green chillies. Marinate the Chicken with all the powdered spices and this paste. Keep aside for 2 hours. Do not add the Whole spices..
- In a large vessel, heat Oil and Ghee both. Add the whole spices. Saute for a minute. Now add the fried and crushed Onions, beaten Yoghurt and the Tomato puree. Allow it to cook for a minute or two on a low heat. Now add the marinated Chicken. Cover with a lid. Allow to cook on a medium high heat at first for 10 minutes. Then simmer for a good 20 minutes until done on a low heat. I have added a few Whole Green chillies too. It's optional..
- Do not add water at all. The Chicken should get cooked in it's own juices. Mix in the food colour. Garnish with chopped Coriander and Mint leaves. Spring Onions are an excellent option.
